Srinagar, 20 Dec: A driver died after the tractor rolled down from Bund road in Nowgam Sumbal area of North Kashmir Bandipora district on Friday afternoon.
An official told that, an accident occurred at Nowgam Sumbal, where a tractor rolled off from bund road.
The tractor driver identifier as Mohammad Yousuf Malla,(35) son of Mohammad Ishaq Mala, resident of Nowgam Sumbal, sustained serious injuries, he said.
He was shifted to nearby hospital CHC Sumbal, however, doctor’s declared him brought dead, he said.
After completing medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family for the last rites.
A pall of gloom descended on the Nowgam area as the news of his demise spread, leaving the community in mourning.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigations.
