DC Srinagar reviews implementation of DAJGUA scheme

Asks Officers to expedite infrastructure development process for welfare of tribal community

SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 30: In order to review the implementation of Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Saturday chaired a meeting in his Office Chamber, here.

At the outset, the DC took first hand appraisal about the implementation of the DAJGUA being executed for the welfare of tribal people. He discussed various aspects related to the scheme and other modalities for its successful execution to achieve the target.

On the occasion, Dr Bilal asked the Revenue authorities to expedite the process regarding identification of land for infrastructure development including Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) building for quality education of tribal students.

The DC also asked the R&B Department to submit DPR for repair and renovation of Gujjar Bakerwal Hostel.

He stressed the concerned to ensure an adequate of heating system in the hostels.

During the meeting, the DC underscored different dimensions of the centrally sponsored flagship scheme launched to uplift tribal communities and ensure their socio-economic development.

Dr Bilal stressed the Officers for effective implementation of DAJGUA scheme across the District.

Besides the Chief Planning Officer and Tehsildar North, the meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, other officers of Rural Development Department and other concerned officers.
