Srinagar, 30 Sep: Shri Muhammad Zama Khan, Hon’ble State Tourism Minister of Bihar, visited the renowned houseboat “New Golden Flower” today during his official tour of Kashmir. The minister was warmly welcomed by the host, Mohammad Yakub Dunoo, the proud owner of the houseboat.
During the visit, Mohammad Yakub Dunoo gave the Hon’ble Minister a detailed tour of the houseboat, showcasing both its interior and exterior features. Shri Zama Khan observed the various rooms and marveled at the traditional craftsmanship and design of the houseboat. The minister took keen interest in understanding the rich history, unique architecture, and cultural significance of the houseboat, which is an iconic part of Kashmir’s tourism heritage.
Expressing his appreciation, Shri Zama Khan thanked Mohammad Yakub Dunoo for the warm hospitality. He acknowledged the love and warmth shown by the people of Srinagar and remarked that this is the true spirit of “Kashmiriyat”—a tradition of kindness and generosity.
“This visit has given me a deeper understanding of Kashmir’s cultural heritage and the important role houseboats play in attracting tourists. The ‘New Golden Flower’ houseboat represents the elegance and hospitality of the Kashmiri people,” said the Hon’ble Minister.
The visit ended with a heartfelt exchange of gratitude between the minister and the houseboat owner, further solidifying the bond of friendship and tourism between Bihar and Kashmir.
