5.5 Lakh Candidates Vie for 4,000 Constable Posts in J&K Police

25 Centers in Bandipora District Alone to Accommodate 5,904 Aspirants

Bandipora, 01 December: The alarming rise in unemployment in Kashmir is starkly evident in the overwhelming response to the recent Jammu and Kashmir Police constable recruitment drive. A staggering 5.5 lakh asprinats have applied for a mere 4,000 posts, underscoring the desperation for employment opportunities in the valley.

Despite the frigid winter weather, thousands of aspirants are braving the cold to appear for the recruitment examinations. This unwavering determination reflects the gravity of the situation and the hope these individuals place in securing a government job.

To ensure a smooth and transparent examination process, authorities have established 25 centers in Bandipora district alone to accommodate 5,904 asprinats. Similar arrangements have been made across the district.

The unprecedented number of applicants underscores the urgent need for employment generation in Kashmir. The constable recruitment process, therefore, assumes significant importance in addressing this pressing issue and providing livelihood opportunities to the youth.
